Our Design & Build Process
At Beall’s, our specialized design-build process is tailored to streamline your landscaping project from concept to completion. By managing both the design and construction in-house, we ensure a seamless experience that is cost-effective, efficient, and delivers exceptional results—on time and within budget.
Our team is committed to excellence in every phase of the process, from creative design and skilled craftsmanship to the highest quality materials and outstanding customer service.
Not every project requires a formal design. Beall’s installs landscapes of all sizes—from small enhancements to full-scale transformations. We also offer flexible planning options, allowing customers to phase their projects over several seasons to match their timeline and budget.
Initial Meeting
Your landscaping journey begins with an on-site consultation with a Beall’s landscape design professional. During this initial meeting, we’ll discuss your vision, assess your property, and identify your specific needs to create a landscape that’s not only beautiful—but also functional.
Our team specializes in solving common issues such as drainage problems, poor soil conditions, and inadequate lighting, ensuring your new landscape works as well as it looks.
While not always required, having a property survey available can help accelerate the design process. If a formal design is recommended, we’ll provide an estimate for the design work. Best of all, any design fees paid will be applied to the final cost of your landscaping project.
Design
The design phase is where your vision starts to take shape. The goal of this stage is to clearly define the scope, direction, and details of your project. After measuring your property, your Beall’s landscape designer will create a comprehensive plan that may include features such as patios, pergolas, walkways, retaining walls, and planting beds.
This is the exciting part of the process—where creativity meets possibility. You’ll collaborate closely with your designer to fine-tune every detail and transform your outdoor dreams into a functional, beautiful reality.
Review Landscape Design & Proposals
Once your design is complete, we’ll schedule a meeting to review the plan and present detailed proposals. During this session, we’ll walk through the overall concept, material selections, and design vision, ensuring everything aligns with your goals and expectations.
A formal proposal, including pricing, will be provided. To give you flexibility, we break the master plan into manageable phases, allowing you to see the cost of each individual component of your landscape.
One of the key benefits of a master plan is the ability to refine and adjust both the design and proposal in collaboration with your designer—so it fits your timeline, needs, and budget.
When you're ready to move forward, we’ll ask for a signed contract and a 10% deposit. At that time, you'll receive a copy of the finalized landscape plan.
Select Plants and Hardscape Materials
One of the many advantages of working with Beall’s Nursery and Landscaping is our seven-acre nursery and supply yard, which serves as your one-stop shop for all landscape materials.
You’ll meet with your landscape designer on-site to hand-select the plants and hardscape elements that will be used in your project. From touring our greenhouses for vibrant annuals and perennials to choosing trees, shrubs, and specialty plants, you'll have a hands-on role in shaping your landscape’s look and feel.
We also offer over 20 different bulk materials—perfect for top-dressing new planting beds—and our extensive hardscape displays make it easy to visualize and select pavers, retaining wall blocks, and more.
By the end of this visit, you’ll have confidently chosen all the materials needed to bring your landscape design to life.
Installation
At Beall’s Nursery & Landscaping, we’re proud to be your single-source provider, managing your project from design through to completion. Your landscape designer will work closely with our experienced field supervisors to ensure your landscape is not only stunning—but built to last.
From the moment we break ground to the final cleanup, we are committed to completing your project neatly, efficiently, and with the highest standards of quality.
Our skilled installation team is trained in the latest techniques and best practices in landscape construction. With extensive experience in stone masonry, horticulture, and landscape maintenance, we bring craftsmanship and care to every detail—delivering a landscape and outdoor living space that will thrive for years to come.
Final Walk-Through
After your project is completed, your landscape designer will conduct a final walk-through of the property with you to review the finished work and ensure every detail meets your expectations.
During this visit, we’ll also provide guidance on the care and maintenance of your new landscape and outdoor living space—equipping you with the knowledge to keep it looking beautiful and healthy for years to come.
